How do I return an item?
Within 30 Days of Order Placement
If you decide you don't like the item(s) ordered from our online catalog, simply request a Return Authorization Number (RAN) by email at returns@bestdoorknobs.com within 60 days of order placement. If you do not wish to send an email, you may also send a letter request to the address below. NOTE: Return Authorization Numbers are issued by e-mail or physical mail only - they will not be issued over the telephone. Please include your order number and the items you wish to return in your email.
Providing the returned merchandise has not been installed or damaged, and it is returned complete we will process a credit for the returned item(s) minus a fourteen percent restocking fee and our actual shipping & handling costs (from USPS, DHL, FedEx or UPS).
We will provide you with a return authorization number (RAN) and it is valid for two weeks from the date of issue. Please write the RAN number on the outside of the return package; otherwise the package may be refused as unknown & returned to you.
Exceptions: installed, altered or customized orders (engraved, initialed etc.) cannot be returned or exchanged. Pieces or components of a set (screws, nuts, bolts for example) cannot be returned for partial refunds. Kick Plates for doors are made to order - therefore these items have a restocking fee of 40 percent.
Within 31 to 60 Days of Order Placement
After 30 days, we do offer in-store credit for orders placed after 30 days but before 60 days. A restocking fee of thirty five percent applies to in-store credit returns and actual shipping & handling are not refunded. We do not accept returns or exchanges beyond 60 days of order placement.
